Erm...First Blog? And "See You Next Fall"
Hey, this is my first blog, and i should probably tell ya a bit about me...ummm...let me think.
Im really into film ^_^ like directing and cinematography.
I just had the best weekend ever!!! I got to direct a REAL SHORT FILM!!! Im soooo excited for the premire, after that it'll be posted here like on Dave's site.
Its called "See You Next Fall" Its real awesome! Its only 3 minutes long, but it still awesome.
We spent ALL DAY saturday (7am-11pm) filming and editing. It had to have been the coldest day ever, but it was the best. We started off by raking some leaves for about an hour in the freezing cold and little bit of rain. We threw some people into leaves, shot some stuff, barried Nino in some leaves, shot some stuff. We got to use the "All Mighty JIB!" Its like a mini-crane that attached to the tripod. We also got to film with this super sweet HD camera that the district bought for Dave.
We got done in the park and headed over to SHS to shoot a mob scene. We had about 25 people and Nino's dog Gabby show up (and we thank them all VERY MUCH) in the cold to run down the middle of a street while Nino crossed an intersection to jump into a pile of leaves. I know, we are crazy... The JIB was also used for this shot (its intended shot) And it looks amazing ^_^
We headed down town to do some running stuff and shot with some extras. I think we used that JIB like for 2/3 of the shots. Then we headed for lunch, and made sure our fingers hadnt fallen off from the cold. We ate some lunch and then headed back into the cold. Shot some alley stuff, But the alley turned into a wind tunnel and made it 10 degrees colder. We also had trouble with the duct-tape sticking t the walls and there were so many posters! We finished our outside stuff and did some more running...so much running...
There was a restaraunt that let us use their set to film. It was much fun and I got to be at the head of the reastarant and make a silly face. Though that did require me taking of my hat and haveing to deal with major hat hair. We wrapped on set and headed over to the district building to edit. We had so much pizza and doughnuts and pepsi and moutain dew that weekend...it was insane.
The movie turned out Wonderfully! I hope you all get to see it
Thanks for Reading ^_^

I don't have a date yet for the premiere. Kerasotes says they don't have the equipment to show it there, and I have not heard back yet about SHS. But we'll find a place and a date soon, and then we can market the heck out of this movie. Good times!
Oh and you did a great job as a director. Keep it up.
Can't wait to see the movie!
